I first noticed it when I woke up suddenly in the middle of the night, unsettled for no clear reason. The house was unusually silent. I reached for my phone and saw the time was 3:19 a.m. When I glanced at the bedside clock, it read 3:17 a.m. and was completely still. At first, I thought the batteries had died.
By morning, the situation became disturbing. Every clock in our house had stopped, all frozen at exactly 3:17 a.m. Wall clocks, wristwatches, even the digital clock on the microwave.
