Ruto and Riggy G Buy Goats Worth KSH. 15 Million in Baringo

Ruto, Gashagua buy goats

President William Ruto and his deputy, Rigathi Gachagua, arrive in Baringo County for the annual Kimalel goat sale.

President William Ruto and his deputy Rigathi Gachagua spent Ksh.15 million on goats at the annual Kimalel goat auction in Baringo County on Thursday.
President Ruto, who presided over the auction, said that he and his deputy would buy 1,000 goats for Ksh.15,000 apiece.

Hundreds of leaders in attendance also purchased goats ranging in size from 150 to 5 pounds.
After grumbling about the premium Ksh.15,000 price, President Ruto authorized the other leaders, including Cabinet Secretaries, Principal Secretaries, Governors, Senators, and MCAs, to purchase each goat for Ksh.13,000.

Each goat sold for Ksh.12,000 at the Kimalel goat sale last year.
