Babu Owino Launches Nairobi County Pool Championship Launched with Ksh. 2 for the Winner
Nairobi is set to witness one of the biggest cue sports events ever organized in the county with the launch of the Nairobi County Pool Championship, a high-stakes tournament bringing together talent from all 17 constituencies in a thrilling journey toward a single county champion.
The championship, sponsored by Hon. Babu Owino, is designed to promote youth talent, inclusivity, and competitive sportsmanship, while offering substantial cash rewards and free participation.
A Countywide Competition
The tournament will kick off at the constituency level, with players competing within their respective constituencies. From each of the 17 Nairobi constituencies, the top four players will qualify for the county finals, ensuring that the very best talent advances to the final stage.
The competition is open to both men and women, with provisions such as handicaps to encourage women’s participation and level the playing field.

County Finals (Individual Category):

- 2nd Place – KSh 150,000
- 3rd Place – KSh 100,000

Team Event (Constituency Teams):
- 1st Place – KSh 200,000
- 2nd Place – KSh 120,000
- 3rd Place – KSh 70,000
- 4th Place – KSh 70,000
- 5th–17th Places – KSh 20,000 each

- 2nd Place – KSh 10,000

Players are only allowed to participate in one constituency, ensuring fairness and proper representation.
