WRC Safari Rally Kenya 2022: Everything You Need To Know About Vasha Rally
All roads are heading to Vasha this weekend, for those who don’t know Vasha simply means Naivasha.
It’s a sheng word for Naivasha where this year’s Safari Rally is taking place and the weekend is about to get lit.
As much as Kenyans and WRC Safari Rally lovers are going to have fun and support the rally (proudly sponsored by KCB Bank as a financial partner), it is important to know more details about the Vasha rally and how to keep yourself safe during the period you are there and come back to Nairobi in one piece.

With that being said, here is everything you need to know about Vasha of 2022 that officially started today.

WRC Safari Rally Kenya Route:
The WRC Drivers will go through 19 gruelling special stages around Lake Naivasha and Lake Elmenteita covering 363.44km.
Kenyan drivers are among the race car drivers in the rally, and remember to be careful where you watch the race from because the cars will be literally flying.
The wrc safari rally in Kenya 2022, will be a four-day race which ends on Sunday in Naivasha.

As per the race, It starts with Loldia (19.17km), followed by Geothermal (11.68km) – a brand-new stage which climbs over craggy rock-lined hills.
Then Kedong (31.25km), it is actually the longest stage of the rally. It rounds out the loop before all three are repeated after service, bringing the day’s total to 124.20km.

Here are some tips to keep you safe during WRC Safari Rally Championship 2022 in Naivasha, Kenya.
- Keep yourself full, eat well, and carry a water bottle and if you have shades, remember to wear them.
- Make sure your phone’s location is always turned on and ensure all your friends or team know your whereabouts and plans.
- Dress like someone who’s going to have fun, but not too much fun.
- As much as you can, avoid talking and mingling with strangers and people you don’t know or you only got to know each other there. If you met them in Vasha, be careful with what you do, talk or tell them.
- Have a little cash with you and always make sure your MPESA is loaded.
- Last but not least, watch your alcohol intake, that’s Naivasha, remember.

There are a total of 42 entries (entry list = 42) in safari rally Kenya entry list this year.
In the wrc race, there will be 20 Kenyan Drivers in the wrc safari rally in Naivasha 2022 and 20 Kenyan Co-drivers.
This means that Kenya has the highest number of drivers in the 2022 WRC Safari Rally Kenya.

The list contains 12 top-tier Rally1 cars as well as 10 cars in the WRC2 premier support category.
WRC3 cars are also well-represented, with five Rally3-specification cars featured.
