Safaricom also allows you to send or transfer Bonga Points to a different Safaricom number whenever you want to, for free.
Other than that, to make sure your Bonga Points are safe and no one can transfer them from your line to another phone number, without your consent, you are able to put a password or PIN on your Bonga Points, just like your M-Pesa.

So how can you enroll?
How To Enroll In Safaricom Bonga Points:
- Dial *126# on your Safaricom Line
- Select the ‘Enroll’ option and press send/OK
You have successfully enrolled to Safaricom Bonga Points.
To thank you for enrolling and joining bonga points club, Safaricom will reward you with free bonga points to kick start your bonga points earnings.
You will receive a confirmation SMS from Safaricom confirming your enrollment to the program.
Note: You start earning bonga points from spent airtime ONLY if you enroll, which means a new Safaricom line is not automatically enrolled, unless you do it manually.
How To Check Your Bonga Points Balance:
- Dial *126# on your Safaricom Line
- Select the ‘Check Bonga Points’ option and press send/OK
Your Safaricom Bonga Points Balance will be displayed on your screen and you will also receive an SMS with your Bonga Points Balance.
How To Redeem Your Bonga Points:
- Dial *126# on your Safaricom Line
- Select the ‘Redeem Bonga Points’ option and press send/OK
- Choose what you want to redeem your points on (Data internet, SMS, Minutes, Airtime) and press send/OK
- Select the Number (amount) of Bonga Points that you want to redeem and press send/OK
How To Add PIN To Your Safaricom Bonga Points (My Bonga PIN):
For PrePay customers:
- Dial *126# and reply with 5 or dial *126*5#
- Select the ‘Set New PIN’ option
- Enter your National ID number
- Enter the last direct top-up amount
(Enter the amount of airtime that you recently recharged to your Safaricom line)
- Enter your PIN
- Confirm the PIN
- Click Send/OK to confirm
For PostPay Safaricom customers, you should call Customer Care on 200 from your Safaricom lines to have your PINs set automatically
How To Change your Bonga Points PIN:
For PrePay customers
- Dial *126# and reply with 5 or dial *126*5#
- Select the ‘Change current PIN’ option
- Enter your current Bonga PIN
- Enter the last direct top-up amount
(Enter the amount of airtime that you recently recharged to your Safaricom line)
- Enter your new PIN
- Confirm the new PIN
- Click send/OK to confirm
For PostPay customers, simply;
- Dial *126# and reply with 5 or dial *126*5#
- Enter your current Bonga PIN
- Enter your new PIN
- Confirm the new PIN
- Click send/OK to confirm
How To Transfer Bonga Points To Another Number:
- Dial *126# on your Safaricom Line
- Select the ‘Transfer Bonga Points’ option
- Enter the Phone Number (Recipient’s Number) that you want to share the Bonga Points with and press send/OK
- Enter the Number (amount) of Bonga Points that you want to transfer to the other number
- Enter your Bonga PIN (if you have it) and press send/OK
Safaricom will send you a text message confirming the successful Bonga Points transfer.
Note: Safaricom only allows you to transfer between 1 to 100,000 Bonga Points per day.
