KCPE 2021: Top Candidates, Schools And Their Marks
The KCPE 2021 Results have been released and all the candidates who have sat for the examination can check their results.
In this article we have covered and listed the top candidates that have managed to score the highest marks in their KCPE exam. We have also included their schools and the exact marks they attained.
These are the best performing candidates this year 2021 in KCPE national exam.

The Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exam was done or rather the number of registered students was a total of 1,191,616 candidates.
Out of all the candidates who sat for the KCPE exam, 889,011, scored below 300 out of 500 marks.
In this year’s KCPE exam, 8,091 candidates were able to score over 400 marks.
The top candidate attained 433 marks.
Here is a short breakdown of the candidates number and the marks scored.
The candidates who scored;
300 — 399 marks were 282,090 candidates
200 — 299 marks were 589,027 candidates
100 — 199 marks were 299,677 candidates
1 — 99 marks were 307 candidates.
In this year’s KCPE exam, the female candidates performed better than the male candidates in English, Kiswahili and Kenyan Sign Language.
On the other hand, the Male candidates performed better than the female candidates in Mathematics, Science, Social Studies and Religious Education (CRE) .
Special needs students were 2,675 and the top performing special needs student scored 420 marks.

Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha said that most people expected this year’s candidates to perform poorly because of the pandemic that started early last year (2020) but that wasn’t the case.
“Many doomsayers predicted that candidates of the 2020 KCPE Examination will perform dismally. The good news, however, is that performance of candidates in the 2020 KCPE is commendable and has shown no remarkable difference from the performance of the past years,” said the Education CS Magoha.
With that being said, let’s take a look at the top performaing students in the 2021 KCPE exam.
